After leaving us in splits with its trailer, Badhai Ho has got us all excited about its release, which is planned for October 19. But ahead of that, the makers are busy releasing its soundtrack, which has gotten two songs till now. While the first one was Badhaaiyan Tenu, the newest one is called Morni Banke and has been sung by Guru Randhawa along with Neha Kakkar.
This song has been created for the engagement sequence of the film, and hence features a festive mood. The engagement is of course between the characters of Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra, and their families and friends can also be seen enjoying this occasion to the fullest.
If the song sounds familiar to you that’s because its hook is a recreation of the Punjabi MC song called Morni. Like we said, Guru Randhawa and Neha Kakkar have sung this one, and they have imbibed it with high amounts of energy. The song doesn’t take time to create a festive mood, thanks to the brilliant composition by Tanishk Bagchi.
The lyrics of this one have been penned by MellowD, and feature flirty lines between the male and female characters. But it’s the music that ends up being the main highlight of this song. This is not the case with the film’s other song Badhaaiyan Tenu, which has funny lyrics as well as quirky music.
Badhaai Ho is a film directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, who had also helmed the 2015 film Tevar, which starred Sonakshi Sinha, Manoj Bajpai, and Arjun Kapoor. This new film’s story revolves around a couple who have two adult children, one day discovering that they are going to have a baby.
This story has been penned by a three-person team consisting of Shantanu Srivastava, Akshat Ghildial and Jyoti Kapoor. Apart from Ayushmann Khurrana and Sanya Malhotra, the film also stars Gajraj Rao, Neena Gupta, Sheeba Chaddha and veteran actor, Surekha Sikri. So far, only two songs from its album have been released by the makers, but there are more to come. While the two have been composed by Tanishk Bagchi, others like JAM8 and Rochak Kohli have also created tracks for this film.
Like we said, Badhaai Ho is slated to be released on October 19 in theatres all across India.
