Amidst all the big releases lined up for the coming months is 3 Storeys, a small film starring Richa Chadha, Pulkit Samrat, Sharman Joshi and Renuka Shahane, among others. Although there aren’t many big names in the acting department, the film is being produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar’s Excel Entertainment along with B4U.
The first song from the film, titled Bas Tu Hai is out now, and is creating quite a buzz on YouTube. Clinton Cerejo has handled the music direction duties on this one, while Arijit Singh and Jonita Gandhi have lent their beautiful voices to it.
Out and out, Bas Tu Hai is a romantic song. There’s also a tinge of nostalgia that has been embedded into it by the makers, which is shown very clearly in the video. A soft piano piece acts as a background for the music, even as the guitar and drums provide the base for the singers to chime in.
Arijit Singh is at his romantic best in Bas Tu Hai. He has given the melodious song his very best. The emotion that his voice adds to the track is extremely evident, and makes you wonder if any other singer can create the same magic.
Jonita Gandhi is the female lead in this song, and she has played her part perfectly. She has proved before it that her voice is very versatile, and has been impressive not just in her parts, but also in the harmonies.
Bas Tu Hai is the first song from the soundtrack of 3 Storeys, and we expect newer songs to arrive in the days to come. The movie is being directed by debutante director Arjun Mukerjee. Like we said, it stars Richa Chadha, Pulkit Samrat, Sharman Joshi, Renuka Shahane and Masumeh Makhija.
The story of this film is based on the three floors of a lively chawl in Maya Nagar, Mumbai. It aims to be a playful and moving study of intricately intertwined lives of the people living in a city.
The film is currently slated to be released on March 9, but there’s no word on when its full music album will be out. Anyways, we are definitely looking forward to this one.
