Bhoot Aaya From Nanu Ki Jaanu Is A Foot-Tapping Yet Creepy Song

Mika Singh tries hard to frighten you with his song Bhoot Aaya from Nanu ki Jaanu

While we are yet to recover from the dance number “Tere Thumke Sapna Choudhary”, featuring the Bigg Boss contestant Sapna Choudhary along with Abhay Deol from the movie Nanu Ki Jaanu, here’s yet another track named Bhoot Aaya from the same movie, that was released just yesterday and it is already making a buzz.

The video starts with a rather creepy and ghastly background music, and a somewhat dazed and confused Abhay Deol, is shown entering the scene pulling off cobwebs like any typical haunted site. However, the starting also has a message, with a difference, as it says, “This haunted season, don’t be afraid, love the ghost”. Then comes a weird voice which supposedly comes from the picture of a person hung on the wall, and he seems to be telling us the story of the ghost. What we see next is, a door opening in front of Abhay, to a sort of dance floor, we see Patralekha standing with a charming and subtle smile, she looks beautiful in her red attire and is surrounded by many male and female ghastly figures around her.

While the creepy music and the background chant is still on, the song starts, and Abhay Deol, seemingly out of his dazed state, starts dancing with the ghosts. Mika Singh as the playback singer, was a good choice for this song and he does well, with a mellow tone throughout the song, to keep up with the eerie feel of it. The lyrics by Sajid Qureshi and Sachin Gupta, that say “Bhaago Bhaago Bhoot Aaya”, basically narrates the story of a scared Nanu (Abhay Deol) and how the ghost Jaanu (Patralekha) is after him and asks him to love her and marry her every night. The rap by Fazil Puria, although done well, seems somewhat forced into the song and the song looks fine even without it, as the rap does not quite seem to blend with the feel or music of the song.

Nanu Ki Jaanu is an unconventional horror comedy directed by Faraz Haider. It is all set to release on the 20th of April, and it revolves around the story of a love affair between Nanu, crook by nature and Jaanu, a spirit or ghost.

This song is somewhat funny, at times zany and yet rhythmic. It already has 3 lakh views on YouTube since its release yesterday and whether it is here to stay or not, only time will tell.
