A simple yet fun video for an amazing song

Last year, the Black Eyed Peas treated their fans to a comeback album titled Masters of the Sun Vol. 1, and despite the absence of intrinsic member Fergie, the record was pretty well received. Three singles were launched to promote the album, in the form of Ring the Alarm, Constant and Big Love, the last among which came right before the album’s release. But now, the band has decided to give the music video treatment to another song from the album, Get Ready.

This music video has the three main members of the band, will.i.am, apl.de.ap and Taboo hopping on what’s presumably a trampoline, with a red brick wall in the background. Their slow motion antics are punctuated by beautiful animations, and these are the only two aspects of this music video, which has been directed by NOMSG.

Get Ready, the song itself, is a spectacular number. It has been made over a sampling of That’s What YouGet (For Being Polite) by the The Jacksons. Its soulful hook creates quite an impact, before will.i.am and Taboo drop their rhymes. apl.de.ap comes in later to change the course of the track into a jazzy one.

Masters of the Sun Vol. 1 is a political album that used the current situations in the United States as its backdrop. It’s the band’s first album in eight years, and also only their third as a trio, since long-time member Fergie decided to leave the band in early 2018. The Black Eyed Peas are currently touring to promote their new album, and the second leg of their tour starts this year in Asia.

If you haven’t listened to Masters of the Sun Vol. 1 yet, we’d advise you to do that right now. The album is filled to the brim with exciting tracks and indeed signals with bold letters the re-arrival of one of the greatest pop sensations of recent times.
