Ed Sheeran has released a music video for the second single from his upcoming record. The song is called ‘Cross Me,’ and was previously available for streaming through all leading streaming channels from around the world. It has Ed teaming up with Chance the Rapper and PnB Rock to belt out an amazing amalgam of pop, R&B and hip-hop. This new music video, which you can watch in the space down below, does not feature these artists, but digital avatars of them performing some killer dance moves.

This is achieved with the help of a motion capture artist, who dances her heart out in the video. Avatars of the three artists are created over her movements, but there’s no effort made to hide this fact, which adds one more layer of dynamism to the whole affair. These digital versions of the three artists find themselves in some really interesting scenarios.

Like we said, ‘Cross Me’ is the second single from Ed Sheeran’s upcoming project titled No. 6 Collaborations Project. It has him teaming up with other big artists for each of the 15 tracks present in it. People like Eminem, 50 Cent, Camila Cabello, Cardi B, Khalid, Travis Scott, Ella Mai and more have been roped in for this album. Its first single came out in the form of ‘I Don’t Care,’ which featured Justin Bieber.

‘I Don’t Care’ was also given the music video treatment. The song set a Spotify record for most streams in one day, and the biggest debut-day sum for any track, with nearly 11 million hits worldwide. The song is noticeable for its Caribbean-leaning tunes and the incredible vocal performances by both the artists. Its lyrics speak about a party that both don’t want to attend, but they don’t really care about it since they are with their loved ones.

Ed Sheeran’s much anticipated No. 6 Collaborations Project has been granted a release date of July 12.
