While it’s not new for all his Bollywood fans who have heard him sing for his own Hindi movies, but Farhan Akhtar singing in Telugu will be a treat for his fans down South. Farhan, as we all know, is multi-talented, he’s an actor, director, producer, and singer all rolled into one! He will soon be proving his talent in the South Indian film industry with a song in Telugu, a language he has never explored earlier.

Farhan has lent his voice for South superstar Mahesh Babu’s upcoming film Bharat Ane Nenu, the song is called ‘I don’t know’ and has been composed by Devi Shri Prasad and it features the lead pair of the Bharat Ane Nenu, Mahesh, and Kiaara Advani. The song has been shot in Spain.

Farhan has expressed that it was a great experience and a pleasure to sing for the 42-year-old star. “Thank you for the opportunity Mahesh… Pleasure to sing for you,” he posted on Twitter while he also thanked Prasad for believing in him.

This is not the first time the two of them have come together, Mahesh Babu and Farhan have collaborated earlier when Mahesh recited a poem in Telugu for Akhtar’s social initiative MARD (Men Against Rape and Discrimination).

The song is said to be a catchy number and will introduce Mahesh Babu’s character in the film. Both Devi Sri Prasad and Mahesh Babu took to their social media profiles to announce the news of Farhan singing for them and Mahesh wrote on his Facebook account; “Thank you, Farhan Akhtar Simply loving it!! Welcome to the Telugu Film Industry.” and also posted a video along with it.

For Farhan singing comes easily, he’s earlier sung songs like Pichle Saat Dino Mein, Tum Ho Toh, Sindbad the Sailor and Rock On for his film Rock On and also the famous Senorita from Zindagi Na Milegi Dobaara which went on to become a huge hit.

Bharat Ane Nenu has been directed by Koratala Siva and is slated to hit theater screens on 20 April and we’re sure Farhan’s voice is going to take the Telugu industry by storm too!
