The number of recent and upcoming Punjabi songs in Bollywood is staggering. Looks like 2018 shall be an immensely eventful year for Punjabi songs in Indian cinema. 2018 seems to be the year of remixes and recreation. First with the Reshammiya songs in Hate Story IV, then Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani grooving to “Mundiyan” and now we have “Galla Goriyan”, a very funky track from the upcoming movie Baa Baaa Black Sheep.
Vishwas Paandya’s Baa Baaa Black Sheep is perhaps just as engaging as the name suggests. It is technically a comedy, very quirky but it adequately incorporates elements of suspense and thrill to boost things up. It, however, remains a romantic escapade, light but cheerful.
“Galla Goriyan” is a brand new song from the official soundtrack that has been released 3 days ago and it has already crossed 2 million views! The song is called “Galla Goriyan – Aaja Soniye” and is essentially a recreation of famous Punjabi hit “Gallan Goriyan” by Harbhajan Mann. This peppy track has emerged to be the new party anthem for its lively beats and EDM variations.

The song was released recently in the presence of the entire cast of the movie including Anupam Kher, Maneish Paul, Annu Kapoor and Manjari Fadnnis. It is a dance number where you can see Mika Singh, Maniesh Paul and Kanika Kapoor grooving to the song wearing very flashy clothes, in keeping with the party ambiance of the song.
SUPERBIA (Gourov, Roshin and Shaan) has contributed significantly to the recreation and it’s sung by Mika Singh and Kanika Kapoor. How can you ever party without a song like this on your playlist?
