Amrinder Singh, aka Dilpreet Dhillon has made a comeback to the Punjabi music industry after the huge success of “Gunday No. 1” and “Gunday Returns” last year. This year, his latest release “Gunday Ik Vaar Fer” touches upon the issue of eve-teasing and a love story revolving around the same. The song was released on YouTube on 14 July this year, and has already received more than 4.3 million views.

“Gunday Ik Vaar Fer” is the third installment of Dhillon’s “Gunday No. 1” (2014), was followed by “Gunday Returns” (2015) – both of which have ruled the charts in the Punjabi music industry. The duet song has been sung by Dilpreet Dhillon and the female vocals have been added by Baani Sandhu. The lyrics have been written by Jassi Lohka and Lavi Jhinjer, and the music has been composed by Western Penduzi. The video has been produced by Makers, and the song has been released under the label of Humble Music.

The music video begins with a short speech, describing how the Punjabis have always fought for their dignity over the centuries, and a true man is he who respects and protects the respect of others. The storyline is set in a small Punjabi village, where Baani has been eve-teased by two men, and Dilpreet Dhillon avenges his ladylove’s humiliation in his own way. The rest of the video shows us how Dhillon takes revenge upon the men time and again, and the slow love story coming up between Dhillon and Baani. The couple are later seen by Baani’s brother, but Dhillon promises to marry Baani and the lovers are finally accepted.

The lyrics are in Punjabi, and the song will make you hum the music to yourself. You will like this song, thanks to Baani’s powerful voice, and the overall energy and fun of the song. The music video works on a variety of themes such as eve-teasing, something that hasn’t been explored in many music videos, and a modern-day love story working out of it.

Dhillon fans have greatly appreciated the return of his gangster avatar, while some others have remarked that the music is repetitive. On a whole, “Gunday Ik Vaar Fer” is an enjoyable song with a strong social message behind it.
