The film Nawabzaade had been out of the news for quite a while after its announcement, but its makers have changed that with the release of its first song High Rated Gabru. If that name sounds familiar it’s because it’s the same hit song that Guru Randhawa had released not too long ago. The music video of this new version not just stars Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor, but it is also graced by the film’s three lead actors, Raghav Juyal, Punit Pathak and Dharmesh Yelande who are well known choreographers themselves.

This should be enough to let you know that Nawabzaade will be a full-on dance entertainer. In fact, it is being produced by Remo D’Souza who is also the writer of this film. Long-time Bollywood choreographer Jayesh Pradhan is serving as the director of Nawabzaade.

Coming back to the song in question, High Rated Gabru is a Guru Randhawa original that has been brought into the film’s soundtrack. Not much has changed in this version, which makes it hard to distinguish between the two. What stands out in the original is Guru’s familiar voice, and same goes for the film version.

High Rated Gabru became a massive hit when it was first released around a year ago. Its music video on YouTube currently boasts of more than 400 million views, which is indeed quite an achievement.

Nawabzaade is all set to be a dance film, which is very visible from the music video of this song. It features some sick dance performances by the leading stars. They include Raghav Juyal who came to be known as the king of slow motion after his hit performances in Dance India Dance. Punit Pathak is also a product of Dance India Dance, and had first featured in Remo’s ABCD: Any Body Can Dance. Dharmesh Yelande is of course the most popular among the lot. Also a star of Dance India Dance, he has worked on Anybody Can Dance, its sequel ABCD 2 and a number of other projects as a choreographer.

The release date for Nawabzaade still remains a mystery, but you can expect the film to hit theatres this August. The other songs from its soundtrack are expected to arrive in the coming weeks.
