Except for his boyish grin, his pretty face, and mesmerizing voice, we know he grabbed the third position on the very first season of Indian Idol. And from there, there has been no looking back for him. People even claim he is more famous than Abhijeet Sawant, the winner. He is from Nagpur, India and his very first album “Tera Intezaar” was a massive success. But there is so much more to this handsome singer than these.

  • Himanshu Manocha was his music instructor back in Mumbai when he was still in school. He participated in “Aao jhoomein gaayein” in his boyhood days. Sajid Wajid, the famous musical duo composed the music for his debut album.
  • Rahul’s duet with Indian Idol contestant Prajukta Sukre was called “Hello Madam, I am your Adam”. And that’s not all. He has done various concerts worldwide and has sung the title track for the series “Ek Ladki Anjaani Si”
  • He hosted the shows “Jhoom India” and “Aaja Mahi vey”.

  • He has done playback singing for various movies like Krazzy 4, Hot money and Jigyasa. Rahul has also sung with Shreya Ghosal in Shaadi No.1, the song being, “God Promise Dil Dola”.
  • Rahul was the winner of the reality show “Jo Jeeta Wohi Superstar”.
  • His summer party anthem of the year Fan (single) spread like a wildfire on YouTube. Check it out if you haven’t already.
  • He was also a contestant on the show “Music ka Maha Muqqabala.”

  • Tera Intezar, was a pop album released in 2005. The title track was a massive hit. Rahul Vaidya and Prajukta Shukre sang another duet for this called “kuch toh kaho”.

  • Fan (single) featuring the famous rapper Badshah was released in 2014.
  • The Vande Mataram song, on the occasion of Independence Day is his way of paying tribute to India.
  • He also released a less popular single called “Do char din” in 2016.
