Jee Chahta Hai Is The Newest Song Promo From Vikram Bhatt’s Maaya 2

Vikram Bhatt is ready to release his new web series Maaya 2 on the web. The promotions for it are on in full swing, with a song and a trailer already having made their way into the open. But the makers have now released its second song, which comes in the form of Jee Chahta Hai, and features lead actors Leena Jumani and Priyal Gor in it.

For those unaware, Maaya 2 is actually a second season to the online-only show written and directed by Vikram Bhatt. This new season will only have him onboard as a producer though, with the direction duties having been handed over to his daughter Krishna Bhatt.

The song Jee Chahta Hai also has a video that highlights the central plot of Maaya 2 – a lesbian relationship between the two lead actors. While one among them seems reluctant to embrace her sexuality, the other is trying her best to convince her to do so. In that sense, the words of Jee Chahta Hai are highlighting her inner frustration at her plight.

The song takes a very typical form though. The verses are hummed to the backdrop of generic music. Singer Shilpa Surroch however, adds a lot of heft to the track. Her voice pretty much embodies the disturbance that one of the lead characters is facing.

Maaya 2 is grabbing a lot of attention due to the presence of Leena Jumani in it. She is known mostly for her role of Tanushree (Tanu) in Ekta Kapoor’s soap opera Kumkum Bhagya. Her choice of playing a bold role and her lip-locking scenes in this song really seem to have gotten the fans excited for the second season of Maaya.

The first season of this series was launched last year, and starred Shama Sikander, Vipul Gupta, Veer Aryan, Aradhya Taing and Parina Chopra. Branded as an ‘erotic love story,’ it featured a heavy dose of bondage sex in its story, much akin to Fifty Shades of Grey.

Maaya 2 premieres on May 30 via Vikram Bhatt’s official app called VB on The Web, which is available on both Android and iOS platforms.
