After giving a huge hit in the form of Engaged Jatti earlier this year, Kaur B is back with a new song titled Budget. The idea of this song is pretty interesting and gives us a break from the repetitive mediocrity that the Punjabi music industry keeps doling out on a daily basis. It has Kaur B talking about how she is out of the budget of someone who is trying to woo her.

The chorus of this song hence goes, “Iss gall utte soch vichar mundeya. Ve jatti challe tere. Ho challe tere budget to baahar mundeya. Ve jatti challe tere.” The rest of the song is focused on describing how uncompetitive the man is, with words like, “Main bhi padhdi aan roz akhbaar ve. Haale takk tu ni baneya star ve. Gall man lai please. Khaate ho jaane freeze.”

These lyrics have been penned by Rav Hanjra, while the song itself has been composed by Snappy. The music of this song depends on bhangra beats for its setting. The composition is also pretty conventional, but it’s Kaur B’s slightly juvenile, yet stern voice that adds a fresh flavour into the mix. Her vocal performance is one of the highlights of Budget.

This song has been released via the T-Series Apna Punjab YouTube channel and is cruising right now with more than 6 million views. Its music video has been directed by Sukh Sanghera, and it features Kaur B singing into the camera in various locations. To fit the song’s lyrics, she is shown going around in a Rolls Royce, using a helicopter to travel and living in a huge mansion.

Back in May this year, Kaur B had released another new song called Engaged Jatti which has been composed by Desi Crew. This track was also launched by the T-Series Apna Punjab YouTube channel and currently boasts of more than 42 million views on the streaming platform. Her other big hits include Sunakhi which came out last year and Paranda which was released in December 2016. Both these songs have managed to amplify her fan base by quite a big margin.

Kaur B sure has come a long way since her modest debut in the Punjabi industry with a song in the movie Daddy Cool Munde Fool, back in 2014.
