High Jack is generating quite some buzz ahead of its release, and that is mainly due to its music. The first song from the film was released recently in the form of Behka which has been composed by Nucleya and Vibha Saraf. And now, the second track has also been introduced. It’s called Kripya Dhyaan De, and has been composed by rapper SlowCheeta and Shwetang Shankar.
Kripya Dhyaan De features a blend of English and Hindi rap verses by SlowCheeta. It’s your typical hip-hop song, but is filled with crazy electronic music to keep up with the psychedelic atmosphere which features heavily in the film High Jack. There’s a heavy influence of Linkin Park in the way the chorus is sung.
The lyrics for this one have been written by SlowCheeta himself. They are impressive but don’t manage to awe you in any way. The name of the song Kripya Dhyaan De refers to flight announcements, since an aeroplane is at the centre of the film’s story.
High Jack is the story of a few airline employees who decide to highjack their company’s last flight in an attempt to recover their unpaid salaries and teach a lesson to the owner. The film’s lead character however, is a DJ played by Sumit Vyas who has agreed to smuggle a banned substance on the plane in exchange of money. All hell breaks loose when the substance is somehow consumed by everyone on the flight, turning it into a full-blown rave party.
High Jack is being directed by debutant Akarsh Khurana, and also stars Mantra and Sonnalli Seygall. It has been produced by Phantom Films and Viu, while its music is being composed by various artists including Nucleya. In fact, the film’s first song titled Behka was released not too long ago, and has managed to please many with its music. Apart from Nucleya, Vibha Saraf has also been credited as its composer, while she also happens to be the sole singer in the track.
High Jack is slated to be released in theatres on April 2.
