Machayenge is the name of a new music video released by Emiway Bantai. This single comes right on the heels of a tour announcement. This is the rapper’s first ever inter-city tour, and will have him performing in Hard Rock Café’s in Pune, Gurugram, and Mumbai, during the start of February.

Machayenge is a sharp departure from the kind of songs Emiway has been releasing over the past few months. While his previous tracks almost always featured angry lyrics, this one is a more light-hearted song with funny lyrics.

Machayenge has Emiway telling a girl he likes, that he can do anything for her, except marry her. And he does this with the funniest of lyrics – “Mama banne bole, kallu ban jaunga. Tu chaahe toh, tera pallu ban jaunga. Malyalam hogi toh mallu ban jaunga. Telegu rahegi toh, Allu ban jaunga. Tu banayegi toh, ullu ban jaunga. Baby baba nahi, ballu ban jaunga. Ladki patane mein Sanju ban jaunga. Shaadi karne bole, Sallu ban jaunga.”

Machayenge has a great electronic piece as its hook, and the beats are also perfect for Emiway’s flow. This is a two-minute song with just two verses. Its music video has been shot at scenic locations in Goa, and features Emiway singing to the camera with his trademark high energy persona.

Like we said, Emiway has gotten his first ever inter-city tour signed thanks to Artist Aloud. Also called Machayenge (meaning “we’ll have fun” in street lingo), this tour comes right before the much-anticipated release of Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy, which has him playing a small role apparently. It was quite disappointing for his fans to see that the film’s soundtrack didn’t have any song of his in it.

Machayenge was released on YouTube just four days back, and has already managed to garner more than 4 million views. It is riding on the popularity the rapper gained during his famous diss with Raftaar, MC Stan and Divine.
