The trailer of upcoming Marathi film Ani… Dr. Kashinath Ghanekar had created quite a buzz when it arrived a week ago. And now, the first song from the film has been released in the form of Indradhanu. A music video of it has also been launched by Saregama Marathi on its official YouTube channel. One listen of this pleasantly romantic number will take you back to the bygone era, just like the song Sawaar Loon from 2013’s Lootera did.
Like the said song, Indradhanu also uses a mandolin to create its basic mood. And there’s no doubt about this instrument’s ability to create a romantic atmosphere. The chorus is quick to appear. The word Indradhanu means rainbow, and the song equates the feeling of newfound love with the imaginary feeling of a rainbow appearing in one’s eyelids.

Ani… Dr. Kashinath Ghanekar is a biopic based on the life of the eponymous theatre actor. A Marathi stage actor, he was the biggest star this field has ever seen. During his heydays, he was the highest paid theatre actor. His role is being played by Subodh Bhave, while other stars like Prasad Oak, Sonali Kulkarni, Nandita Dhuri, Vaidehi Parshurami, Anand Ingale and Sumeet Raghavan will also be seen in crucial roles.
The film is scheduled to be released on November 8.
