Anil Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor, Athiya Shetty and Illeana D’ Cruz starrer comedy, that released today, has been getting mixed reviews. The film has been in the news also because of the real life chacha bhatija, Anil and Arjun, starring in a film together for the first time. While the Google Song, from the film has become popular, it’s the two dance tracks in the film Mubarakan and Hawa Hawa sung by Sukriti and Prakriti Kakar, that’s making news.
The reason behind that is, the twin connection. While the film, Mubarakan is about identical twin brothers, who take the help of their eccentric uncle to marry the women they love, the singers of the two songs, Mubarakan and Hawa Hawa, are real life twin sisters. The makers say that this was not at all planned, but is pure coincidence, that the twins were singing for film about identical twins.
While their older sister, Akriti has been a playback singer in Bollywood for over a decade now.Sukriti is the voice behind the foot tapping title song, Mubarakan and has sung the song along with Badshah. Prakriti on the other hand, sang the peppy, Hawa Hawa song along with Mika. Sukriti has been the voice behind a number of Bollywood songs like the famous, Kar Gayi Chull etc. Prakriti too has songs like Bheeg Loon and Katra Katra to her credit. The two have sung together earlier too for the movie, Noor. Speaking to HFT, Prakriti said: “The fact that our songs are the promotional songs of the film, is the most awesome feeling. It has been a great opportunity for us. Also working with the team has been a great experience.”
