Nargis Fakhri Makes Her Singing Debut With None Other Than Snoop Dogg In Dr Zeus’ New Song

In something that has come as quite a surprise, Nargis Fakhri has made her singing debut along with none other than Snoop Dogg. Both of them are featuring artists on a new Dr Zeus number which also has the voice of Zora Randhawa in it.

The song is called Woofer and sounds very akin to the kind of Punjabi numbers that are coming out in droves these days. Snoop Dogg was last featured in an Indian song way back in 2008 when Singh Is Kinng came out.

But with this track, he has made a return to the country. His trademark rap style is highly visible here, but he doesn’t bring anything new to the table. His rap sounds like something we’ve heard a large number of times before.

As for Nargis, her voice has been heavily autotuned in this song. Amongst the three other artists, she gets a very short duration for showcasing her singing skills. Her small part features some pretty clichéd lyrics which are not helped by the heavy autotune.

Dr Zeus is his true self while singing the chorus for this song. You can either absolutely love or despise his shrill voice in this one. As for Zora Randhawa, he doesn’t have much of a part to play in this song.

The song’s music video has been shot entirely in Los Angeles. At its start, Zeus and Zora are caught by the police but are let off when Snoop Dogg tells the police that they’re his nephews. The rest of the song is just all of them singing at different locations surrounded by hip-hop dancers.

Overall, the song doesn’t sound very promising, but judging by the way Punjabi music is being received recently and also by the fact that Snoop Dogg is in it, it has a good chance of becoming a hit.
