Upcoming Punjabi film Aate Di Chidi has just had its title track release via a YouTube video on the Lokdhun Punjabi channel. The popularity and anticipation of the film are evident from the fact that the video has managed to grab more than 4 million views since its release three days ago. This video features both Neeru Bajwa and Amrit Maan, who are also the lead actors of the film.

Aate Di Chidi has been sung by Mankirat Pannu. The song has been composed by The Boss, while the lyrics have been penned by Kaptaan. The song is basically your typical Punjabi number. It brings nothing fresh to the table, yet it somehow manages to have you grooving to it.

Aate Di Chidi is about a girl boasting about her extravagant spending habits. Hence the lyrics, “Main shauk karoongi poore. Roki na mundeya. Main kharch karoongi poore. Roki na mundeya. Hunn main dole diyan laaun. Roki na mundeya.”

Mankirat Pannu has given an admirable vocal performance in this one. She infuses the song with lots of energy using her peculiar voice. Where the song fails, however, is that it follows the same musical pattern for its entire duration. That means a verse is followed by a chorus three times back to back. There’s no variation in sight, making it very dreary by the end.

The video of Aate Di Chidi has Neeru Bajwa showcasing her dance moves. But that’s about it, as the song chooses to show nothing else from the upcoming film. It does have small portions featuring Amrit Maan though.

Speaking about him, he has also sung a song for the film, called Called Marji De Malak. It’s a song composed by Deep Jandu, with lyrics written by Amrit Maan himself. This track was released just yesterday and has earned more than a million views till now on YouTube. You can catch it on the Lokdhun Punjab Youtube channel right now.

Aate Di Chidi is a comedy film based on Punjab’s various social issues. Shot in Punjab and Canada, it has been directed by Harry Bhatti, who has been the man behind two other Punjabi films of recent times – Sardar Mohammad and Rabb Da Radio.

Aate Di Chidi is slated to be released in theatres on October 19.
