Actor Shahid Kapoor’s next release, Batti Gul Meter Chalu, has a lot of surprises stored in for the audience. Interestingly, the movie is going to feature a remake of the hit song from the 90s, ‘Urvashi’ from the 1994 movie ‘Kadhalan’, which is one of Prabhu Deva’s bests till date. Shahid Kapoor has been observed visiting different dance studios in Mumbai and now we know why!
We are definitely excited for Shahid’s next work, but what we are eagerly waiting for is the release of the remade song. Yo Yo Honey Singh has taken the responsibility of creating the new version. Not just that, we can’t really compare AR Rahman’s classic with anybody, but we would like to believe that the new song would have its own flavor, the Honey Singh flavor! Even so, as per reports the lyrics of the song have been changed but the overall feel remains the same.
The song focuses on the beautiful relationship and love between the leads. We all know how amazing Shahid is on the dance floor, so we are not even complaining about him being one of the leads. However, audience seems to be truly excited to know about Kiara’s skills as a dancer. Kiara added to it that she had been way too nervous while filming this song, because the people would obviously compare the original with the new one, plus, when you have Shahid dancing opposite to you, you ought to have those butterflies inside your stomach. But, Kiara also believes that the youth would appreciate their efforts and love the choreography as well as the track.
Shahid, the father-to-be to another child, also feels that this would be a fitting tribute to dancer Prabhu Deva. Choreographer Sanjay Shetty wanted to provide the song with an ‘underground’ feel, so he made sure the shooting is done in clubs and parking lots. We are definitely going to get some new age vibe and dancing with this one.
Bhushan Kumar also feels positive about the song. He is adamant that the song would be the youth’s favorite. Adding to that, the Shahid-Kiara ‘jodi’ in this song would be the show stealer. So, all Shahid fans, gear up for some amazing time, and be one with the music, to cherish and feel the song and dance to its beats!
