‘My Family’ is the name of a song from the soundtrack of the upcoming animated film The Addams Family, and it has just been released online. Produced by Rock Mafia, this track features vocals from Snoop Dogg, Migos and Karol G. Apart from being part of the soundtrack, Snoop Dogg will also be included in the film’s cast, as he’ll be providing the voice for Cousin Itt. The song was released yesterday (Friday the 13th), which is an apt date for a song about The Addams Family to be released.
‘My Family’ starts off with a short recreation of the iconic theme music of the Hanna-Barbera-produced cartoon show from the 1990s. Quavo begins proceedings with the lines, “I go to war with my family. Ups and downs. Wrong or right, that’s family.” Snoop Dogg and Karol G join in as the song continues, with the latter singing her parts in Spanish. Released by MGM Records and distributed by 12 Tone Music, ‘My Family’ has been written by Antonina Armato, Quavious Keyate Marshall, Carolina Giraldo, Danny Parra, Tim James, Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr. and Vic Mizzy.
Christina Aguilera has also been roped in for the soundtrack of The Addams Family, among other artists. The new The Addams Family animated film is being directed by Conrad Vernon and Greg Tiernan, and stars the voices of Oscar Isaac, Charlize Theron, Chloë Grace Moretz, Finn Wolfhard, Nick Kroll, Snoop Dogg, Bette Midler and Allison Janney. Like we said, it will be released on October 11.
