Hailing from a small city in Rajasthan called Sriganganagar, Pawni Pandey moved to Mumbai at a very early age to pursue her singing dream. Her training bore fruit quickly as she got a chance to be a finalist in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs. As fate would have it, Pawni once again took the stage of the same TV show, but this time, as a judge. Jhoom Barabar Jhoom – Policegiri
Himesh Reshammiya’s soundtrack for Policegiri featured this peppy track which had Pawni Pandey crooning to a melodious chorus. The song is punctuated by some pretty interesting musical pieces. It also features the singing talents of Vineet Singh, Shabab Sabri and Aman Trikha, apart from Pawni.
Lovely Jind Wali – Fugly
This item number from 2014’s Fugly is a great showcase of Pawni Pandey’s singing talent. The song required her to induce high amounts of energy into it, and she has done that without faltering even one bit. Composed by Prashant Vadhyar, it gave quite some credibility to her nascent career.
Laila Main Laila – Raees
For 2016’s Raees, Pawni got to reprise a classic song that was originally composed by the hit pair of Kalyanji-Anandji. This new version marked the high point of her career, as it became a massive hit in India. Re-composed by Ram Sampath, it featured Sunny Leone in its video.
Sahiba – Phillauri
This chartbuster features just one verse from Pawni, but she completely mesmerizes us with her soft voice. Singer Romy sings the larger portion, and their talents blend together brilliantly. Composed by Shashwat Sachdev, Sahiba is a superb song which has the right amount of romance embedded into it.
Sweety Tera Drama – Bareilly Ki Barfi
If you have watched Bareilly Ki Barfi, you most definitely will have loved the song Sweety Tera Drama. Accompanied by a comic video, this track is not an easy one to sing. But Pawni has rendered it beautifully along with Dev Negi and Shraddha Pandit.
Bewafa Beauty – Blackmail
Pawni Pandey has done great justice to the hilarious lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya. The song is not a very energetic one, but it sure packs a punch, thanks to Pawni’s wonderful singing performance.
An unconventional yet melodious voice, Pawny has made her mark in the industry and we are only waiting to hear more such fun tracks from her.
