Oscar is the mega event that people from all across the world wait for with bated breath. It is that prestigious award which is conferred on the best actors of the year, and so the all the anxiety and the hustle is an obvious affair. The Oscars, also known as The Academy Awards, is a grand and majestic affair and it has a regal aura about it.

It started eighty nine years ago in on May 16, 1929, and has been the most special event of the film fraternity ever since. This year the Oscars will be a tad bit different from what it has been since the past thirty years. This year we are all anxious and excited to see how the whole thing goes without a host.

This is for the first time in thirty years that The Academy Awards will have no host. However, that is not the only thing that we are excited about for this year’s Oscars. There will be a plethora of amazing musicians who will be performing for this year’s Oscars. They are our favourite stars and we cannot wait any longer to see them perform at the Oscars.

This year’s Academy Awards will see Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper performing their very popular and smashing duet “Shallow” from the movie, A Star Is Born. A co creation of Mark Ronson, Anthony Rossomondo, and Andrew Wyatt, this song marks Lady Gaga’s second time when she is nominated for the Best Original Song, the first being Till It Happens To You from the documentary, The Hunting Ground.

It seems like yesterday when Jennifer Hudson bagged the prestigious Oscar for her impeccable supporting role in Dreamgirls.

The duo has not only received their first Oscar nomination for the Best Original Song but now their excitement knows no bounds for they have been invited to perform When A Cowboy Trades His Spurs For Wings from The Ballad of Buster Scruggs. This is a joint venture of the duo and it is amazing to say the least. This is not where the list ends. This year’s Oscars will also see a special surprising performance of Where The Lost Things Go from Mary Poppins Returns. The music of this mellifluous song is by Marc Shaiman. He is the one behind the words of the song along with Scott Wittman. This has left us keep guessing about who is this surprise singer going to be, and we cannot wait any longer.

It is still being conjectured whether Kendrick Lamar and SZA will perform “All the Stars” from Black Panther. It is also being planned to have brief performances of all the nominations of the five Best Original Songs this year.
