The first time you have sex matters, and if you both are in your first relationship, it is possible that you would take a little longer. This is normal, as the apprehensions and hesitations would be much more in the first time.
Sex Comes Early If It Is A Casual Fling

Of course, if you are in a casual fling you might have sex earlier, since you are not thinking about extending the relationship. It is okay to have sex on the third date or so, or in three week’s time. You could surely go at it on the very first date, but such instances are quite rare. Also, it’s possible your causal fling turns into a serious one. Even if it does, there is no harm in having sex in three or four weeks.
Sex Takes A Little Time In A Serious Relationship
Unlike casual flings, where you are not bothered much about things like how will your partner react to it and all, sex might need some time. Normally, couples in serious relationships wait about three months or so before having sex for the first time. Jumping at it will not make a good mark in the relationship if you are seriously thinking about it. Taking a little time to know each other will help in the first time. Still, waiting too long can turn your partner off.
Sex Does Not Follow A Time Period
There is no ‘right’ time to have sex. You can have it when the two of you are comfortable. First time sex often comes with a lot of awkwardness, and you must not shy away from it.
Know Where You Stand Before Making A First Move
No matter how soon or how late you do it, be sure of where the two of you stand. It might be a casual fling, or a serious one, it is of significance that both of you know where it is heading after sex.
Ensure protected sex. Another thing to look at before you go into a sexual relationship with anyone is trusting the person. You might go into a casual fling with someone, but ensure that the person will be faithful of your intimate moments. Of course, practice the same too.
