3 reasons why you should invest on travel and not on things

Give in to your wanderlust

‘For things may come and things may go but memories last forever’ This one simple line pretty much sums up why it’s more important to collect memories rather than collecting things and some of the best memories are made when you travel and explore new places.

What would you do if you were given a choice between the latest smart phone and plane tickets? If it was me, I’d hop on the plane any day! Here are 3 reasons why:

1. Travel makes you richer

Travelling teaches you more about life than even the best school or best teacher in the world would. When you travel, you experience new things, meet new people, make new friends, try new cuisines, see how the rest of the world lives, learn from them, gain confidence and come back richer with new experiences and memories and also a broader way to look at things.

2. Time to Bond

When you are away from home, travelling, you also leave behind the baggage of your everyday routine life. Worries about things like what to cook, doing the laundry, cleaning the house etc. are all left behind and forgotten for a few days. That way you are relaxed and have a whole lot of time to bond with your family, spend time doing fun things together. If you are travelling alone then there is plenty of time to reflect, relax and bond with yourself.

3. Recharge and Rejuvenate and stay healthy

Every now and then we need to get away from all the stress in order to stay healthy and fit. Travelling to a new place is the best way to recharge your energies and come back fully rejuvenated. You not only come back with stories to remember for a lifetime but also come back feeling more alive and ready to face the challenges ahead.
