Best Places In India To Visit During Winters

You might think twice before going there during the summers but it’s paradise during winters!

 

If you haven’t explored the beautiful places around India yet, the winter break or the Christmas break is a good time to see some of the beautiful towns and cities in our country. There are so many beautiful places our country has to offer, so why not explore what we have? We’ve put together a list of places in India that will be nice to visit during winters.

Amritsar

The main attraction in Amritsar is the Golden Temple. You need to walk in through four gates, till you actually get to see the Golden Temple. You need to walk down a beautiful archway and then a few steps down and then you see the Golden Temple and for a minute your breath just stops looking at the beautiful structure under the clear blue winter skies. Besides the Golden Temple, there are some historic places like the Jallianwala Baugh, Gobindgarh Fort etc. The Wagah border is another must visit while in Amritsar.

If you like palaces and forts and havelis and want to experience how the royalty lived then winter is the best season to visit Rajasthan, the land of palaces, forts, and havelis. Besides the beautiful places like Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Udaipur, and Jodhpur, there is so much to discover in Rajasthan, from their rich culture to their food and shopping! While Rajasthan can get unbearably warm during the summer months, winter is just perfect with a slight nip in the air.

Delhi

Delhi in summer is a BIG no-no but come winter and Delhi is a fun place to be in. Besides the Dilli ki sardi, the amazing street food is something to look forward to. You can enjoy everything from the heritage walks, the light and sound shows, shopping etc. in the pleasant winter sun, unlike summers. There are places near Delhi that you can visit, like Agra which is about 4 and half hours drive from Delhi.

Goa

While you really don’t need a season or a reason to go to Goa, winter time is fun. It’s also the season when the Sunburn Festival takes place. The heat is less and relaxing at the beach is a great way to spend your Christmas.
