Situated about 15 kms south from the capital of Botswana – Gaborone, Mokolodi National Park is not so popular with the tourists, but ones who have visited it once have listed it as one of their favourites. Leopards, white rhinos, and giraffes are often spotted in Mokolodi. The officials have different types of safaris from which you can choose, including night safaris. There is also a reptile park in Mokolodi where you can see different species of the slimy creatures.

What started off as four cattle farms with internal fencing, is now a nature reserve park. The transformation was to achieve the goal of conservation of the wildlife and botany of the place. Among some of the animal that you can locate here are leopards, black-faced impalas, zebras, aardvarks, jackals.
Selous Games Reserve, Tanzania

No. Serengeti is not the sole option while in Tanzania. You might make up your mind to explore the Selous Game Reserve in the south of Tanzania. This reserve is almost double the size of Serengeti, with half the people flocking there. Only the astute travellers head their way to Selous instead of Serengeti. The park is a home to elephants, wild dogs, buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, and of course lions.
Tread the offbeat national parks in Africa for a quieter and less crowded ambience. Africa never disappoints its travellers come sun or come rain. Even if you have no luck encountering any wild animal, which is highly unlikely, the mysterious beauty of the parks will definitely get you.
