The Room With A View At Bhandarphule

Finding my own private beach at Bhandarphule

The room with a view at Bhandarphule

One of the first things I do when I reach my destination is to open the windows wide and look out at the view.

The view for me is very very important, even if I am going to spend very little time indoors.

You see, I am a very lazy person by nature, and even though I often trick my bosses into believing I am a hard-working what-not, the truth is, it takes me some mammoth effort to get up and work. And the same is true for me when I am on a getaway (you can well imagine the amount of laziness that I am prone to when I know I can be lazy!).

The view is what helps me kick myself out of the room and get me out there.

When at the beach, what better view than the water and the sky meeting right outside your room? That’s what I got here, at a beautiful property called The Nakshatra on the Bhandarphule beach. It’s a 3 minute walk to the beach, and it’s exactly a 10 minute drive to the busier Ganpatiphule beach.

The Bhandarphule beach has some beautiful rocks on the sides, and more often than not, you can enjoy a solitary walk there

There are no shacks here, and most properties around are either residential, or are simple yet beautiful properties where tourists can come and stay.

I took quite a lot of walks at the beach, and guess what, most of the time it felt like walking on my own private beach, with not a single soul around

If you like going to a beach, take my word for it and head out to Bhandarphule if you are in Maharashtra. This is right next to the Ganpatiphule beach, and is just a five minute drive from the main Ganpatiphule beach, which also has the temple, in case you have any confusion with location. The drive from Mumbai can take between 8 to 10 hours, and there is also a train service that you will have to look up.

Try going between December and February first week, as the weather will be really nice and cool. If you are planning to head here in the monsoon, the drive and the view will be breath taking, but you can definitely not go in the beach due to safety concerns.
