Rajith Kumar, a so-called professor of Botany at the Sree Sankara College in Kalady made a horrific remark at an awareness class for students in Kerala’s Kasaragod area, by saying that women who wear jeans or dress like men give birth to transgenders.
The man further went on to say that women who wear shirts and pants, or dress up more like men are the ones who are responsible for giving birth to children who are ‘called’ transgender. He also went on to give further proof of his missing brain cells by telling students that only those couple who live like good people and as befits good men and women are the ones who give birth to ‘good’ children, whereas couples who do not display good character are the ones who give birth to children who are autistic or suffer from conditions such as cerebral palsy.
Apparently, Rajith Kumar has not done this the first time, and had earlier made similarly derogatory and misleading or hate spewing comments targeting female students when he was speaking to female students at a women’s college in Thiruvananthapuram. The situation had turned so bad that the students had booed him out of the session and had walked out on him.
This time, the state government is already getting ready to take legal action against him and plans to bar him from ever appearing in any government-sponsored awareness classes that are held in schools and colleges (about time no?!).
Health minister K K Shylaja has accused Rajith Kumar of making anti-women and derogatory remarks as well as propagating superstition.

My most logical and simplest and politest of questions to you at this point of time would have been “What did your mother wear that she gave birth to a disgust like you?” But you know what Rajith Kumar, my sensibilities tell me that it’s not your mother we need to question here. It is what’s going on inside that empty or seemingly scheming head of yours that needs more inspection and has to be quarantined.
The biggest problem with such creatures as Rajith Kumar is that they are not only homophobic and sexist, but they have this really strong belief that they can do and say whatever they want, and people will listen and follow. Then again, isn’t this how we ourselves are responsible for giving birth to godmen and godwomen, all those babas and ammas who have nothing better to do than create hatred and talk about things that even cavemen stopped talking about long back, and still we have millions of supposedly ‘intelligent’ and ‘educated’ people following them?
Rajith Kumar, more than you, I guess it is our and our society’s fault (nope, you truly aren’t a part of it) that we allowed you to talk so much and for so long. Maybe if our society seems so faulty to you, we need to take care of you and send you out of our society forever, no?
