This 31st of December, I saw a lot of my friend staring into their phones. Of course I thought it was a selfie. But when they asked me to pose and I saw those funny filter effects, my question aboutthe filter was met with a cute hug, telling me how unaware I was of the ‘new’ things going around. It was Snapchat (which I never installed and never saw for myself till two nights back). I’m living and surviving though

And here I am, happy even when one reader comes to my blog to spend some time (what lack of ambition Debo!).
I asked my friends why they were so interested in Snapchat. WeNEED those screenshots and images to show up the memories.
I still preserved mine the old way, enjoying in the moment and having a gala time actually.
But this got me thinking of what all I have been collecting and how times are changing. In fact, yesterday I spent hours scouring through old books and flipping pages. I love my books and most of them still have old leaves, feathers and scraps of doodling in them that were left for me at some time or the other by some loved one.
Today, a friend was saying how she had moved on to Kindle and was busy collecting titles on her gadget-book.

No, I am still stuck in an old world I guess. Well, I love picking up handbags, so maybe in a way I was collecting those, and I did very recently fall in love with the handbag tags, those useless pieces of cute fluff (yes, I said it!!) you attach to your handbag zippers. This seems to be a rage again!

You’ll want to do your stuff, and I will have my own ideas, but then, if Johny Depp can do this and still be as awesome as he is, I have no qualms about continuing with my boring yet satisfying ways of collecting ‘things’ – mind you, REAL things!
