These Actors Reading Makes Me Love Them More

Being a bookworm myself, I have always been fascinated by people who read.

Whether it is someone I see on the road, waiting with a book in hand, or a person reading at the airport or in the flight, or someone browsing through a bookstore and really looking at books. I find the entire process really exciting. And for reasons that are quite obvious, those who read books are always naturally very attractive to me.

While I am definitely not a movie person at all, when I found out about a few actors who love to read and in fact are readers who know their books, I couldn’t help but like them more, and in some cases, even though I don’t like them as actors, I liked them for their reading.

This man is the perfect epitome of intellectual sexiness gone overboard, coupled with some of the most amazing performances I have seen (I am not talking Bollywood here but regional cinema). And the fact that he reads only makes him too irresistible. Also, his favourite book happens to be Catcher in the Rye by J D Salinger, an amazing book that I have read multiple times and connect with a lot.

2. Randeep Hooda

I like this man and just as he loves to take on roles that are different from the regular ones, his taste in books is also a little different. Randeep loves Papillon by Henri Charriere which I will surely check out.

3. Kajol

Okay, so I absolutely cannot tolerate a movie that has her in it, and always give it a miss just because she is in it. But the fact that she is always with a book and is a self-confessed book hoarder (like me yay!!) makes me like her a little bit.

4. Shah Rukh Khan

I am a bit undecided about SRK, as I won’t say I love him, but I do like few of his movies such as Chak De, Swades, Hello Zindagi (you get the idea of the kind of work of his that I like). But apparently, this man is a book hoarder too and reads up to three to four books at a time, and always shops at bookstores when he is abroad. Wow, forget about your movies, I love the fact that you love books.

5. Saif Ali Khan

Apparently he started reading as he was bored and now can’t do without, a habit he even pushed onto wife Kareena. Saif says that he remembers growing up reading books in a crumbling old palace in Bhopal. Wow, some reading memories there!

While movies still isn’t my thing, talking about all the books and reading is making me itch to go and get my hands on a book right away. So there I go, and even though I may bring on the wrath of Mister Boss for this sudden disappearance, I will head over to my book date now. And if you have any recommendations for me, I will love you!
