Want A Longer Weekend? Try This Trick To Stretch Your Sunday

An easy way to make your weekend feel longer

We all dearly love the weekend. We wait for it like a refugee waiting to get food aid. But then Sunday rolls around, and vanishes within blink of an eye. Before you have even accomplished half of what you had planned, the day is over, and you are already sorting out your wardrobe for office the next day.

So, what can you do to have a long Sunday?

The long ‘To Do’ list

As working adults, we all have a ‘To Do’ list for the weekend. Fixing electrical appliances, paying bills, helping around the house, finishing a read or a movie, spending some time to keep a hobby alive. There is so much to do in a day.

And that may be where the problem lies. We clog our weekend with a long list of tasks, and never enjoy a day off for what it is. But there is a need to completely switch off the work mode for a day or two to maintain our performance and efficiency for the rest of the days.

There is one way to salvage your Sunday as one real Weekend treat to yourself.

Finish the chores on weekdays

You simply move all your Sunday chores to another day. It may sound really simple, but demands a little extra on every weekday, but really alleviates the Sunday. It helps you recharge yourself for a great week ahead.

So, you could plan your reading by devoting an extra hour to it on some other day of the week. Complete household chores and paying bills on Saturday. And get your wardrobe fixed beforehand.

Also, because you are working your way through your chores ahead of schedule, there is far less pressure to get it all done, and far more satisfaction waiting for you when you actually do.

This way you get up feeling relaxed and stress-free on Sunday. And have the whole day to yourself. This will help you to go to work rejuvenated and relaxed on Monday.
