Shahrukh Khan plays the dramatic role in the December release “Zero” where he played the role of a dwarf hero from Meerut, Bauua Singh also starring Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma. After this movie, actor Riteish Deshmukh is also said to play the role of a dwarf villain in Milap Zaaveri’s “Marjaavaan”.

This romantic drama also stars Siddharth Malhotra, Tara Sutaria and Rakul Preet Singh. The two male actors had a face off four years back in “Ek Villain” where Riteish plays the role of a villainous character. This time too, he is the villain but a little shorter in size. Even though he is a dwarf in the film, his role is of significant importance and is filled with dark humour and witty lines and violent face-offs with the hero.

While the hero is at the sets shooting and preparing for his movie, Riteish is still preparing for his role in order to understand how a villain of his stature would talk, make gestures and act. They are conducting workshops for him as well.

Milap Zaaveri had written the dialogues for the 2014 movie and he has confessed that he wanted to raise the villainous bars high by reducing the villain’s height. It would be a little more than three and a half feet. Milap has also told media that after VFX researches and having a look test on the actor, they have achieved brilliant results. Although there have been comparisons made between Shahrukh’s character and that of Riteish’s, the director explains that while Shahrukh is portrayed as a loving and romantic character, Riteish plays the role of a bad guy and there is a lot more than just his stature.

While rigorous research and preparation and loads of look tests and VFX researches are being done to make the movie a great success, the actors and the whole crew are putting in great efforts to understand their role and make the movie a success in 2019.
