In her college days, one of her friends who was directing a short film offered her to play the lead role in the pocket film called Majha Honeymoon. The movie was released in 2014 and was critically acclaimed. The film was about a 20-year-old girl who wanted to see the iconic places in Mumbai and came to the city for her honeymoon.

The actress auditioned for the movie Katti Batti in which she got selected to play the role of Imran Khan’s sister. The movie didn’t do well at the box office but Mithila got noticed by the ad makers of the industry and she was offered roles in Maggie, Zomato and Tata Tea.
