Though the movie did not receive positive reviews, she was next chosen for the Bollywood comedy “Mere Dad Ki Maruti” in 2013. Here, she played the small role of Jasleen the street-smart college girl. Then she slipped into the character of Sonali for the movie “Sonali Cable” opposite Ali Fazal. In an interview, Chakraborty said that acting requires her to put herself in the character’s shoes, but she enjoys the process of acting and the challenges that come with it. She is highly anticipated as Ayesha in the upcoming romantic-drama “Jalebi” opposite Varun Mitra. It is the Bollywood remake of the Bengali movie “Praktan” and its trailer has received positive reviews. The movie will be released on 12 October 2018.
