Disha Patani Is Heading To The Circus For Salman Khan’s Bharat. Here’s Why

Salman Khan’s Bharat which also stars Priyanka Chopra in a pivotal role has a new addition. The latest addition to the team is none other than the hot and happening Baaghi 2 actress Disha Patani!

After comedian Sunil Grover who was added to the team of Bharat and also has an important role to play, it is Disha who will also have a significant role in the film.

This Baaghi 2 actress has been roped in to play the role of a trapeze artiste in Bharat. She will surely make one glamorous trapeze artist and add the glamour quotient to the circus! The circus group as shown in the film is said to be one which operated in the 1060s.

Disha took to Twitter to share her excitement and said; “Looking forward to step into the shoes of a trapeze artiste. Thank you for this challenge! Bharat it is.” She also added that she is excited to be a part of Bharat and that it is like a dream come true for her to be working with Salman.

Salman too tweeted about her joining the team and said; “Welcome @DishPatani to the journey of @Bharat_TheFilm :)”

This particular circus segment in Bharat is reported to be a tribute to Raj Kapoor and Mera Naam Joker as the director Ali Abbas Zafar is a huge fan of Raj Kapoor. The makers had been looking for someone who looked athletic at the same time looked beautiful and vulnerable and Disha fitted the bill.

Bharat will be an onscreen adaptation of the 2014 South Korean movie Ode To My Father. Bharat will be shot across locations in Abu Dhabi, Spain, Punjab and Delhi and releases on Eid next year.

Besides Bharat, Disha is said to be doing director Mohit Suri’s next romantic drama, for which she has replaced Kriti Sanon. She will apparently be paired opposite actor Sidharth Malhotra for the same film. There are also talks of her playing the lead role opposite Tollywood superstar Jivam Ravi in period drama Sangamithra.
