Baahubali, Alizeh & Other On-screen Deaths Of Our Favorite Actors We Are Still Crying Over!

You are watching a movie. The music swells as the camera pans across an emotional scene and soon your eyes start stinging. It’s happened to all of us. We know it’s only a movie, after all, it’s not even real. But it happens. Every bloody time.

Here are some epic characters in Bollywood films who made us sob when they die on-screen

Shraddha Kapoor as Aisha in Ek Villain

She played Aisha the bubbly, vivacious girl who changes a cold blooded murderer Guru’s (Sidharth Malhotra) life. The way Guru undergoes a stark transformation as love changes him completely is so adorable. But just when the two were beginning to settle down into a happy, blissful married life, Aisha gets brutally murdered by the ‘Villain’. Guru is lost without the love of his life and so were we left heart-broken.

Prabhas as Amrendra Baahubali in Baahubali

Though I, personally, have a history of getting weepy while watching movies, let’s be honest, watching Baahubali breathing his last, has made each and everyone of us sob without restraint. In fact, the immediate scene where Katappa goes to Shivagami Devi to tell her about Amrendra Baahubali’s death, gives goosebumps.

Anushka Sharma as Alizeh in Ae Dil Hai Mushkil

Anushka Sharma aka Alizeh waltz dancing with Ranbir Kapoor aka Ayaan on ‘Lag Jaa Gale’ almost tore our heart

Though Alizeh’s (Anushka Sharma) death is implied and not really shown, seeing Ayaan left all alone made us teary-eyed and heavy-hearted. The film ends on a note where he sings ‘Channa Mereya’ again and this time too tears come rolling down our cheeks.

Amitabh Bachchan as Auro in Paa

Paa celebrates the purest phase of an individual with such touching simplicity; it’s impossible to remain unmoved. The climax scene where Auro breathes his last made fans cry, especially when his little classmate comes to apologize him. Amitabh Bachchan as Auro made all cry and laugh with him in the movie as his unrestrained spontaneity sparkles in every frame.

Ranveer Singh as Varun in Lootera

Lootera was a beautiful take but had a really tragic end. Though Varun (Ranveer Singh) played a bad boy, we had developed a soft corner for him as he loved Pakhi (Sonakshi Sinha) unconditionally. And when we almost thought the couple would live happily together, his death just made our heartbleed. His last gesture before dying made us sob even more.

Big B in Sholay, Shah Rukh Khan in Kal Ho Naa Ho, Baazigar, Devdas, Aditya Roy Kapur in Aashiqui 2, Renuka Shahane in Hum Aapke Hai Koun, Vidya Balan and Emraan Hashmi in Hamari Adhuri Kahani, and the list goes on. These are the deaths in films that left us utterly sad. Tell us which one made you sob!
