The action-thriller The Spy Who Dumped Me starring Mila Kunis and Kate McKinnon is all set to release this August. The Spy Who Dumped Me is about the two female leads who get caught in an undercover agent trap after Mila Kunis’ onscreen spy ex-boyfriend dumps her.
The cast and crew of The Spy Who Dumped Me take their action sequences very seriously and they didn’t want their film to look like most action-comedies that have half-hearted stunt sequences used to create a comical effect in their films.

Keeping that in mind, the cast and crew of The Spy Who Dumped Me hired none other than the man who taught Bond all the action! They hired the legendary stunt coordinator Gary Powell. Gary’s extensive resumé includes both the Bond and Bourne franchises.
Justin Theroux who plays Mila’s ex-boyfriend in the film says,“When you’re watching a comedy you maybe think, ‘oh it’s going to be a little bit softer, a little bit lighter,’ but Gary is actually very hard-charging. That is his style. There are a couple of shots, the car chase with the motorcycle that takes one of the hardest hits I’ve ever seen on film!”
Gary in turn, personalized the action scenes to reflect Audrey and Morgan’s growing nature. Director Sussanna Fogel said, “It’s important for me that the action be just as fearless as the action in a male driven movie, and that we don’t hold back, we don’t try to like soften it.” Mila and Kate got to learn a lot from Gary while working on the film.
The Spy Who Dumped Me is slated to release on 10th August, 2018.
