Ishaan Khattar is the star-face behind the recently released movie, “Beyond the Clouds” by the Iranian filmmaker Majid Majidi. Coming from a family of illustrious actors, it seems that acting was his destiny. His latest release has been premiered at the London BFI Film Festival, and had earned him a lot of critical praise and critic Deborah Young mentioned that Khattar’s screen charisma will work beautifully for his future acting career.

Ishaan Khattar was born to Neelima Azeem and Rajesh Khattar on 11 November, 1995 in Mumbai, India. He is the half-brother of actor Shahid Kapoor from Neelima Azeem’s first marriage to Pankaj Kapur, and maintains a close and loving relationship with his star brother. He has completed his education from Billabong High School in Juhu, Mumbai, and is pursuing his higher education from RIMS International School and College, Andheri West, Mumbai. He reports growing up in a middle-class household that believed in cinema, culture and performing arts that actually inspired him to taking up a profession as an artiste.
His first stint in Bollywood began as a child, when he played the role of Ishaan in Mahesh Manjrekar’s “Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi” in 2005, and appeared in a cameo appearance in the much-acclaimed Bollywood movie “Udta Punjab” (2016). His performance as Amir, in the recently released feature movie “Beyond the Cloud” has earned him critical acclaim. The story focuses on a brother-sister relationship, which later becomes a story on human relationships in general. “Beyond the Clouds” was released at several film festivals across the world before, and Khattar has even won the Best Actor award at the International Bosphorus Film Festival in Turkey in 2017.

Khattar also plays the lead role in Shashank Khaitan’s upcoming movie “Dhadak” opposite Janhvi Kapoor, which is set to release on 20th July, 2018.

Apart from acting, Khattar also enjoys dancing, travelling and his gym sessions. He also loves football, and looks up to Cristiano Ronaldo and Virat Kohli as his favorite sportsmen. Khattar likes to listen to Michael Jackson and Amy Lee and is a huge Bollywood and Hollywood fan as well. Speaking of his personal life, he is allegedly in a relationship with Sara Ali Khan, the daughter of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, although nothing is official yet.
Ishaan has already created a place for himself among upcoming Bollywood stars with his performance in “Beyond the Clouds” and we are eagerly waiting for the next release Dhadak. Here’s wishing him all the best for his future.
