Actor Siddharth Malhotra seems to like thrillers more than the other genres when it comes to choosing films. Siddharth who was last seen as Major Jai Bakshi in Neeraj Pandey’s Aiyaary, a suspense thriller has just been signed for another film. But this time it’s not a thriller but it’s going to be a love story!
Siddharth has been signed by Ekta Kapoor for a love story which is yet to be titled. Siddharth and Ekta have worked together previously for the romantic action thriller, Ek Villain, where Siddharth played a criminal named Guru whose terminally ill wife (Shraddha Kapoor) is murdered by a serial killer. Ek Villain was directed by Mohit Suri and produced by Ekta.

Siddharth and Ekta are all set to reunite after three years. It is being said that Shraddha Kapoor will be playing the female lead in the film, however the makers and Shraddha have not confirmed the same as yet. Speaking to HotFridayTalks.com a spokesperson from the team informed that the film will be directed by a first time director, whose name will be announced soon.
Confirming the news about Ekta and Siddharth’s collaboration, a source close to the development said, “It’s a small town love story with edgy characters. As soon as Ekta heard it, she immediately reached out to Sidharth. She believes it’s a great role and a perfect film for them to come together. The film is expected to roll in a couple of months. The makers will begin the recce soon and zero in on a leading lady.The duo hopes to recreate the magic with their reunion.”
The yet to be titled film will go on floors sometime this year. Besides this film, Siddharth will also be seen next in a biopic based on the late Kargil war hero Captain Vikram Batra. The film is titled Kargil: Sher Shah, which was the Captain’s code name during the war. Kargil: Sher Shah will be shot in Chandigarh, Ladakh and the Indian Military Academy in Dehradun.
Fans of the tall, not dark but absolutely handsome and charming Siddharth Malhotra have reason to rejoice!
