Actors Ileana Dcruz and Ajay Devgn have previously worked for a film titled Baadshaho and now Raid is their second film together. In Baadshaho Ileana played a badass queen who inherits the throne after her father dies, in Raid she will be seen playing the role of Ajay Devgn’s wife. From the trailer videos we can see that she plays a loving simple housewife in Raid which is directed by debut director Raj Kumar Gupta.
Raid is set in 1981 Lucknow, and is based on one of the biggest income tax heists that changed the course of history! From her debut in the rom com Barfi or showcasing her comic timing in Mubarakaan,Ileana has always attempted to play a varied choice of characters.
Ileana has expressed her desire to work with Ajay again post Raid as she not only feels that working with him is easy as he has no starry airs but also because Ajay has been doing a lot of content-driven films of late and she would like to be a part of it. (Just for your information Ileana so has Akshay Kumar!).

She also enjoys working with Ajay because he is a positive person and an extremely nice person besides being a family man. She likes the fact that he constantly calls up his children to chat with them
Speaking about her character in Raid Ileana told a leading newspaper that even though the film is about the raid with Ajay as an income tax officer, she has a pivotal role. She might not have much of screen space in Raid but her character is an important and interesting part of the film.”My character is not a demure biwi from the ’80s, she is sensible, speaks her mind and is quite the force behind him. The equation between them comes out in the songs and in the emotional scenes where you realise she is worried for him yet tries to put up a brave front,” said Ileana.
Raid is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak. The film releases on 16 March 2018.
