And what spells energy in Bollywood better than Ranveer Singh, the quirky and exquisite actor who is one with Nawazuddin when it comes to doing away with conventionality. So, you can already guess why their upcoming movie ’83 will be a treat, one that will not satisfy but expand your appetite!
Kabir Khan is credited with blockbusters like Kabul Express, New York, Bajrangi Bhaijaan and Phantom. His movies are often political in tone and sentiment and almost always has an emphatic social message to offer. Looks like his ’83 will be different in that regard. It is set against the backdrop of the 1983 cricket world cup in which Ranveer Singh will play the role of Kapil Dev. But that’s not all. Reportedly Nawazuddin will be Ranveer’s coach, although the director has refused to acknowledge this officially. Maybe this explains a lot about his recent instagram post where we see him jogging his way to fitness!

Ranveer as Kapil Dev will be something to look forward to nonetheless his raw energy clearly giving him the upper hand in this regard. We have seen the actor play an array of disparate characters and with the release of ’83 his versatility will only be amplified. When it comes to Nawazuddin, however, we have seen the actor seize any role that has been strewn about in his way, seizing with such finesse and polite acceptance that nothing seems impossible in this actor’s hands. This will mark Nawazuddin’s second collaboration with the director, the first being Bajrangi Bhaijaan. The Gangs of Wasseypur star has a lot in store for him.
