Ishaan Khattar And Janhvi Kapoor gave their first shot for their upcoming film Dhadak in Udaipur. The cast and crew are in Udaipur shooting the first schedule of the film which is a remake of the Marathi hit film Sairat.
While this is not a debut for Ishan, for Jhanvi this day will always be special as this is her very first shot for a film. No wonder then that mommie Sridevi has accompanied her for the shoot and the mother-daughter duo shared a cute picture from the location.
Producer, Karan Johar too seems to be equally kicked about his new protégés and the mahurat of the film. He shared the first photos and wrote; “The team kick-started shoot for this film on Friday, December 1, in Udaipur. Today, early morning, the team offered prayers and took blessings from God before they said ‘action’.”

Bollywood designer, Manish Malhotra too has accompanied Sridevi and the rest of the crew for this special shoot. He too took to his Instagram account to share the picture.
Like the Marathi film ‘Sairaat’, which was based on the issue of caste and honor killing, Dhadak too is based on honor killing. According to Karan, unlike Sairat, Dhadak will have an urban touch to the film and will be set in the backdrop of Udaipur. Talking about Janhvi and Ishaan, he said: “Janhvi and Ishaan are great people and are very hard working. These are the two things that I always look for in actors.” The film is directed by ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ director Shashank Khaitan and said to release on 6 July 2018.
