Janhvi Kapoor, daughter of veteran actor Sridevi is all set to make her debut opposite Shahid Kapoor’s half-brother, Ishaan Khatter in ‘Dhadak’, which is an official Hindi adaptation of Marathi blockbuster ‘Sairat’.

The film is presented by filmmaker Karan Johar’s banner Dharma Productions and Zee Studios and will be directed by ‘Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania’ and ‘Badrinath Ki Dulhania’ director Shashank Khaitan.

‘Dhadak’ is scheduled to be released on July 6, next year. The first posters and first looks of the two debutantes from the movie has been finally released.

Check out the posters:

Dhadak will be Janhvi’s debut film, while Ishaan has already finished shooting for his first, acclaimed Iranian director Majid Majidi’s India-set film, ‘Beyond The Clouds.

Sairat dealt with class discrimination in Maharashtra that affects the lives of two young lovers. Looking at the posters, Dhadak seems to be set in Rajasthan, where the political scenarios is quite sensitive and the state is known for honour killing.

Since, Sairat was a big winner at the Box Office, naturally, expectations will be high from both the actors.

Janhvi Kapoor is one of the most sort-after star kids these days. Her debut is awaited anxiously by fans. She has got huge fan following, even before she signed this film. Her pictures at public gatherings go crazily viral as soon as they are surfaced online.

Her dad, producer Boney Kapoor, had once said, “She is very hardworking and focused. I am sure like her mother she will be loved by all and I would seek everybody’s love for her.”

On the other hand, like a typical mom, Sridevi said, “If she has got into acting, she must have been prepared for fame too. She has to be. I always tell her that success and failure are things you have to take in and accept very gracefully. This social media thing keeps happening and it’s not in anyone’s control. My worry is about her handling success and failure. That’s more important than criticism and social media.”

We hope she follows her mom’s advice and stays true to her dad’s words.
