If you’re a 90s kid (or even the early 2000s), chances are that you have watched Karan Johar’s family drama “Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham” at least a million times by now. Apart from the evergreen Shah Rukh Khan – Kajol pair and little brother Hrithik Roshan, who is the other gorgeous character in the movie? Kareena Kapoor’s Pooja aka ‘Poo’ gave us some major fashion goals and demonstrated girl power that every college girl secretly wished to acquire.
Well, if you have missed out on that ‘Poo’ experience, here seems to be a second chance for you. Kareena Kapoor is all set to recreate the diva magic on Netflix. In a web series yet untitled, she will reportedly play the protagonist in her mid-30s and who has been heavily inspired by the character Poo herself. That means extra drama, extra fashion parades, and extra queenly airs. As expected, Kareena Kapoor is quite excited to take on the role, and we would be more than happy to see one of our favorite characters on Netflix, in a brand-new avatar.
Pooja Sharma (as she was, playing Kajol’s sister in the movie), or Poo, was known for her superstar quality both in college and at home – both in her fashion sense and dialogues. She has introduced us to boot-cut bottoms, crop tops, shararas (‘bole chudiyaan’, anyone?), nude lips, bralettes, ombre highlights and so much more. And that killer attitude… “tumhara koi haq nahi banta ki tum itni khubsurat lago…not fair,” woah!
Kareena Kapoor has been rocking her stardom in Bollywood since the last eighteen years, ever since she had starred opposite Abhishek Bachchan in “Refugee” that was set on the Indo-Pakistan war of 1971. Since then, she has made great progress and has given us some great movies such too.
