The world has been going crazy over the #Kikichallenge or the #inmyfeelings challenge, thanks to Drake’s latest club-mixed song “In My Feelings” dedicated to ‘Kiki’ of City Girls, thanks to its lyrics – ‘Kiki, do you love me?’. If you’re late to the show and wondering what the Kiki challenge is all about, it’s very simple – all you have to do is to get down from a moving vehicle and dance to the lyrics of the song – international stars like Will Smith and Shaggy have shared their videos in the past, while Bollywood celebs like Adah Sharma, Nia Sharma and the comedy group AIB have done their bit as well.

Nora Fatehi, of the latest Dilbar remake fame and Varun Sharma, of the Fukrey fame, decided to do something different for this wacky challenge, and that is to include a desi twist to the story. Nora and Sharma begin their video with a short conversation where the lover imitates the lyrics to take his ladylove on an auto-rickshaw ride. They raise up the desi quotient by many degrees in this song – Fatehi dresses up in a pink sari and dances to the desi beats, and the video is shot on a common Indian street. Last but not the least, the humble old auto-rickshaw has been featured in the challenge, as compared to a car as in the #Kikichallenge videos. The one-minute video was posted on Twitter with the caption ‘KeKe Challenge Desi Style… wait for the ending’, inspiring even the common public to join in the challenge.

However, the Kiki challenge has proved to be a social concern as well. The Mumbai police strongly disapproves of the challenge, and has posted a notice on Twitter to not follow the Kiki Challenge as it could present a public nuisance, and endanger the lives of others, with the caption #DanceYourWayToSafety.

On the professional front, Nora Fatehi has already gained fame for her belly-dancing skills for the remake of Sushmita Sen’s iconic 90s song ‘Dilbar’. She will be next seen in Amar Kaushik’s horror-comedy, “Stree”. Varun Sharma, who made his Bollywood debut with Mrigdeep Singh Lamba’s “Fukrey” in 2013, will be now seen in Abhishek Dongra’s comedy “Fryday” and Rohit Jugra’s romantic-comedy “Arjun Patiala”.
