Whilst Ranveer’s Padmavat is in no mood to release soon, he decides to work again with Dil Dhadakne Do director, Zoya Akhtar for next project, “Gully Boys”. The actor was spotted leaving from Purple Haze Studio, Bandra. He recorded a rap with Indian rapper Vivian Fernandes aka Divine. This is for the first time when Ranveer and Alia will work together.
The movie is based on rapper Naezy aka Naved Shaikh, a rapper from the slums of Mumbai. In the movie, Ranveer will play the role of the rapper who rises to stardom. Naved had earlier said in an interview, “I like the guy. We worked together for a song in Hey Bro (2015). He is a versatile actor and I have no doubts that he can effortlessly play an emperor in Padmavati and a rapper in this film.”
Alia is also excited to work with Zoya Akhtar since she saw Luck By Chance. Ranveer being such a versatile actor, wants to be professional. He can’t keep Gully Boy and other film shootings waiting because release of Padmavati getting delayed. He hence decided to move on from it, and started signing other movies.
Few months ago, Ranveer and Alia were spotted outside Zoya’s office. Its but natural when two of the industry’s most versatile and successful actors together, the movie is bound to be awesome.After Gully Boy gets wrapped up, he’ll start working on Kapil Dev’s biopic which is named as ’83.
Before beginning Gully Boy, Akhtar was working on Made In Heaven, a 10-episode web series for Amazon Prime starring Shwetha Tripathi.
