Remember Rinke Khanna? That petite star kid who lit the screens with the very lyrical hit number Jab Pehli Baar Hum Miley back in 1999? While mama Rinke may not have had a very successful screen career and chose family life over spotlights, looks like her young daughter is all set for her time in the limelight. Yesterday Rinke Khanna’s daughter Naomika Saran made one of her rare public appearances with the entire Khanna clan. Seen during this family outing were sisters Rinke and Twinkle as young Naomika walked alongside her grand mum Dimple Kapadia. Even though, Naomika is all of 14-years, by the looks of it she seems to have inherited the same Khanna charm.
It may be noted that both Khanna sisters are fiercely protective of their kids and it is a well-known Bollywood fact that for the longest time Twinkle Khanna even though being a mega social media celeb in India, avoided any direct frames of her young daughter Nitara.
Rinke who is married to Delhi based businessman Sameer Saran has followed the dictate even more stringently and despite coming from such legendary family she is hardly ever seen in social parties or page 3 gatherings.
In fact it can be said without an ounce of doubt that in this age of social media and paparazzi, the Saran family has effectively managed to maintain a relative anonymity. The only rare occasions where we get to see a glimpse of Rinke Khanna is when sister Twinkle posts her pictures on her Instagram.
The last time when we saw a barely-you-can-see-their-faces pic of Naomika along with her kid brother was when Twinkle posted about their family holiday in Dehradun last year. And perhaps that explains why there is relatively very little known about the Saran kids. Sister Twinkle too whenever she chooses to mention her nephew and niece on her public postings does it in her trademark style of using just symbolic pictures instead of the kids of the family.
Whether or not the young Saran chooses her family tradition and is seen in films, is something that we will have to wait a while for. But for now, the young girl who’s only a school kid definitely did paint a pretty picture as she was seen with all the strong women of the illustrious family.
