We are all more than familiar with the multi faceted talents of our favourite Bollywood stars. Apart from acting, they have not failed to surprise us with a plethora of other talents, and so many of them have taken our breath away. While singing and dancing come hand in hand with acting, there are some actors who have tried their hands at writing, and truth be told, they have come out with flying colours.

The journey of our favourite B town stars from stardom to the world of words is indeed noteworthy. They are one of a kind, and they unveil many hidden truths and other parts of their lives which are otherwise not known to us. Here are some of the stars who have put their thoughts into words, and we love them for it:

He has proved his worth in all the fields he has tread on, and we know that if it weren’t for Karan Johar, we would not have had the bliss of the genre called family drama in Bollywood. Karan Johar’s book, An Unsuitable Boy is his biography. In the book, Karan talks about his childhood, and how he was a very pampered child. The book also has an entire chapter dedicated to his broken friendship with Kajol, but thankfully, peace has been restored between these two childhood buddies now. This book also features Karan’s desire for fatherhood, and gives us a brief insight into his sexuality.

This book is true to its title. It talks about everything one has to go through if one is associated with famous personalities. Soha Ali Khan has been known as Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi’s daughter, Saif Ali Khan’s sister, and sometimes even as Kareena Kapoor Khan’s sister in law. The book has some of the very special moments of Soha’s childhood, and it is a humorous and a good read, and one will surely relate to it as the parts of growing up are more or less the same for everyone.

She has been an immensely talented actor, a great TV show host, and lately, she has shown us that anything is possible with string will power. Sonali Bendre, who just got back to the country after her struggle with cancer, had written her book which can be the best friend for any parent who is confused. Kids can be a handful at times, and The Modern Gurukul traces the principles of parenting. It enlightens us on how to deal with the kids now who are growing up in a modern generation, and keep the tradition alive within them.

Twinkle Khanna’s Mrs Funnybones, The Legend Of Lakshmi Prasad, And Pyjamas Are Forgiving – Funny Yet Unusual Stories

Her first book, Mrs Funnybones came out in 2015 and gained quite a lot of popularity. This book was true to its name as it was funny, and it also came with some strong messages. Her next book, The Legend of Lakshmi Prasad came out in 2016, and it was a heartwarming amalgamation of four stories and is definitely worth a read. Her last book, Pyjamas are Forgiving was published in 2018, and though it did not garner a huge popularity, this piece is still worth a read as it is funny and also wise to a great extent.

Apart from these great talents of Bollywood, it’s on the news that Katrina Kaif, who recently said that her break p with beau Ranbir Kapoor was a blessing, will be penning a book soon. So, we can keep our fingers crossed and hope at least her book turns out to be better than the roles she opts for.
