At the trailer launch of Janhvi Kapoor’s Dhadak, the entire Kapoor family made sure Janhvi did not feel alone at one of the most important moments in her life. Janhvi was facing the media for the very first time as an actress and the family made sure they were all there to support her.
Janhvi’s older brother Arjun and sister Anshula were away in London and could not be there for the launch but Arjun made sure he let his little sister know that she was in his thoughts even though he couldn’t be there for her big day. He posted a heartwarming message for her on Twitter and Instagram; “Tomorrow you will be part of the audience forever Jhanvi Kapoor cause your trailer comes out… Firstly, sorry I’m not there in Mumbai but I’m by your side, don’t worry. I just wanted you to know this profession is amazing if you work hard, be honest, learn to take the accolades with the brickbats, respect opinions, yet follow your own path & instinct. It’s not gonna be easy but I know you are ready for all the madness that will ensue.”
That’s not all after the trailer released and after both Arjun and Anshula had watched the trailer they took to social media and shared the excitement. “Aaaaaaah My cutie @janhvikapoor’s trailer is out now for the world to see and I cannot be more proud, or more excited! My mind has officially been blown by both my Jaanu & @ishaan95! How phenomenal is the trailer and how fantastic are both of them?? Hit it out of the park and how! 20th July, why you so far away? Super duper excited for this one!!” wrote Anshula on her Instagram. Earlier too Anshula acted like the protective older sister when some person trolled Jhanvi on Instagram, she wrote: “Hi, I’m requesting you to refrain from using abusive language especially towards my sisters. I do not appreciate it and have therefore deleted your comments.”
While Arjun, too, took to Twitter to express his views on Janhvi’s performance. “#JanhviKapoor, today starts a new & a beautiful journey! You are amazing and so is #IshaanKhatter! Both of you are magical in the #DhadakTrailer… Only love for you both! All the very best to the whole team.
These messages make you forget for a minute that while Arjun and Anshula are real siblings, Janhvi and Khushi are their half-siblings. These four siblings have been giving the term ‘half-siblings’ a whole new meaning ever since the passing away of Boney Kapoor’s wife and Janhvi and Khushi’s mother, Sridevi. Arjun and Anshula too lost their mother Mona Kapoor who was Boney Kapoor’s first wife to cancer some years back. It seems like Arjun and Anshula who had already experienced the pain of losing their mom have taken their two younger half-siblings under their wings and have been very supportive at every step, ever since Janhvi and Khushi lost their mother. While Arjun has been doing his duties as the protective older brother, Anshula has been showering them with all the love.
While the bond between the four of them became stronger after the tragedy, there are other Bollywood half-siblings who get along like a house on fire. One of the best examples is that of Shahid Kapoor and Ishaan Khattar. Both Shahid and Ishaan are sons of actress Neelima Azeem, while Shahid’s father is Pankaj Kapur, Ishaan’s father is Rajesh Khattar. But it is Shahid who has always been very protective about his baby brother and has always been there for him. From all the fun and goofy pictures the two of them and sometimes Shahid’s wife Meera posts on social media, one can see that these brothers are more like best buddies!

Recently when Pooja Bhatt was asked by a leading daily about the much talked about romance between her sister Alia and Ranbir Kapoor, Pooja quickly wore the protective older sister cape and asked gossip mongers to leave her sister alone. She made it clear that it was better if people let her sister be and let her enjoy her life as she is a young girl and is also doing her job well, and that her personal life is hers alone. She also added that Alia was a Bhatt girl and none of the gossip would affect her.
