It’s nice to see a huge change in the way Bollywood films are being made these days and it’s nicer to see the way Bollywood and Bollywood stars work in present times. Gone are the days where stars traveled around town with their whole entourage of cooks and maids and drivers and spot boys AND nosey mummyjis in tow! While there are a handful of them who still do that,(old hags!) it’s cool AF to see the current brood of stars trying to do their chores themselves. Here are some of them:
Rajkummar Rao

Rajkumar Rao might be riding high with his recent film, Newton nominated as India’s entry to the Oscars but by the end of the day, he’s like any of us. Many times. I’ve bumped into him, at a well-known grocery store in the suburbs buying everyday groceries for the house. On mentioning the same to him during an interview he laughed and said, “Yes buying groceries is important too and I like doing that myself whenever I can.”
Kriti Sanon

He’s not the only one among the Bollywood stars who like to do their chores themselves. Actress Kriti Sanon too believes in doing her own chores. Whenever she gets a chance, she likes to do drive her own car, She has often been carrying her own luggage at the airports. She’s also said to be a great host and loves to cook and serve her guests herself.
Deepika Padukone

Deepika Padukone told a daily that the one thing she enjoyed doing the most during her stint in the West while shooting for The Return of Xander Cage was doing her laundry herself and grocery shopping. Something, that she misses doing here in India. (We understand Dips, the whole grocery store would have to be shut down to control the mob)
Kangana Ranaut

She might be the Queen of Bollywood but deep down, she’s still the ordinary small town pahadi girl who loves her food and also loves cooking. It’s said that whenever she’s not busy shooting, Kangana likes to spend some time cooking up scrumptious meals in her kitchen.
While celebrities doing their own chores is still not very common here in Bollywood, maybe that’s because even if they wanted to go around doing their daily chores themselves, there’s that fear of being mobbed but it’s a very common thing for some of the Hollywood stars to be seen doing their own chores. Kylie Jenner apparently still pumps her own gas at the gas stations BUT she does that too in style!

Stars like Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner and also Katie Holmes are often spotted at the local Farmer’s Markets buying vegetables and fruits!
Actually, we really don’t need to go that far, for example, our very own 106-year-old Mastanamma from Andhra Pradesh who has a huge fan following on YouTube proves that no job is too small or too big to do and as long as we can, we should do our chores ourselves!
